New posts and threads aren't showing up. If you go to the S&S, it'll look like it did before (say, thaboss's thread) showed up. After refreshing the page, it shows up. Along the same lines, going into said thread shows just thaboss's OP, but a refresh shows GhostOfMatrix's post. This is a weird glitch that thaboss noticed before the forums went down. (He thinks.)
Well yes, but thaboss shouldn't have to refresh in the first place. If he goes from the main S&S to a thread, he shouldn't have to refresh to see any new comments. They should already be there. If he was already on the page, yes, he'd have to refresh to see new comments, cause the page doesn't auto refresh, but...
I've noticed it off and on since April (of course, that could just be my computer). Lately though, it's been occurring nearly everyday... As Matrix said, it's probably the change in timestamps.
I have been having this issue today but I literally just starting playing on AG again so I didn't post or google anything. Nice to know that it is not just me.
This has been around for about a month now. I think it appeared when they changed the time stamps.
Yes, I agree completely with GoM there, as the problem with posts not showing up definitely started when they changed the timestamps in the forums!
But it's only a mere inconvenience for me as I've come around to being completely used to it right now. Once I post in a thread I refresh the page and see my entry showing up at the end.
The fact that I already copied my posts before submitting is something I started doing soon after I joined ArmorGames, so there's little to no problem for me with the supposit loss of posts.
Okay so, sorry for a bump, but I have the issue of last pages of massive threads not showing any replies on them, and it doesn't appear to be what MrDayCee says here (though I don't know how was it back then). It happens around the whole forum, sometimes there is a false-last page where in fact replies didn't yet reach that page and the last reply may appear on some earlier one. Tried without any extension, using a Chromium-based browser.
Alright so, to not be a useless bump, I also have a few quick off-topic questions:
• Can you edit the main post any time after it's been posted, unlike you can't with replies?
• What is considered a necropost here? Does this apply only to invaluable bumps, is there a time period when other users can engage to continue the thread afterwards, and can you request a moderator to open one? I am also assuming mods can edit anything anytime, I could ask why this isn't available to normal users.
