What do you think of spinoff and crossover games (games that aren't part of a series but share a title and often characters or mechanics of the series)? Do you have any favorites or preferences?
I personally enjoy spinoffs, since they are different games, but still have familiar aspects. My favorites are Mario Kart: Double Dash (which is basically part of a series in its own right) and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness.
