The Rangers made a great trade. The Rangers got Nash for Anisimov, Erixon and Dubinsky and a 1st round pick. We have Nash for 8 years for 7.8 million. But Dubinsk, Anisimov and Erixon cam out to 7.825 million. The Rangers gained huge on this trade.
As a fellow Columbus fan, I think that the trade was decent and that it was the right thing to do.
First of all, Nash wanted to be traded. When a star like Nash loses the drive to perform in Columbus, it usually is like what Jeff Carter did last season. Also, the players Columbus traded for are not that shabby. They can score some goals. Lastly word is that the trade market wasn't looking too good for Nash.
Anyway, I agree with soccerdude2. He wanted to be traded, so why keep him in Columbus? Also, three more players, plus a first round pick was definitely a good thing for the Jackets, seeing as they didn't do too well last season, and may need some new talent.
