Welcome ladies and gentleman, to the first annual community art project. You may be asking, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING GANTIC'S BEEN MAKING TONS OF PROJECTS LATELY.

You are right, but here's the thing. The projects here involve individual work. Here, is teamwork and teamwork only.

Our goal: To make a community novel requiring loads of helping hands.

Here are the jobs you can choose from

-Writer- This job requires you to write at least one chapter at a time for the book. You may choose this and another job from the list below.
-Illustrator- Drawing some scenes related to the chapter. They must be GOOD. Show us some of your work before signing up for this one.
-Plot Directors- These people will be the main people who plot out the main events in the story. Everyone will be able to suggest, but these people will have the last say and will contact the writers with their ideas.
-Specialist- This person will be the creator for any miscellaneous items needed in the story. Ex1: There's a band story, you write the songs. Ex2: Two pen pals write letters. You write the letters. Note: You may not get as much jobs as you want, maybe even none, so you may choose this, Writer, and another job
-Editor- Reads over the chapters for spelling and grammar, makes minor changes for misunderstandings.

Rules:

1. Writer's write one chapter at a time. You must state when you are writing. Simply say which chapter you call so nobody ends up writing it too.
2. Writer's may not write until the plot directors have a clear plot for you. You may make only minor changes and add anything you like, but stick the bare plot points.
3. Illustrators can either write black and white or color. Each drawing will be approved by a majority vote by every participant
4. Read the whole story before starting a new chapter. This is not a random make a story thread. It's a serious project

That's all.

So, let's start off by asking for who will participate and maybe get some suggestions for the beginning of our book.

Mostly all around AG itself. I kind of imagine it as a community castle. How does that sound?


Could we have each of the sub-forums if I'm saying it right to each be a district? It seems fitting.

Boom Baby! Looks like Acmed and I have further formulated our previously formulated ideas!

He is making an official chat room for this place here, so it'll be easier to catch people and talk about your ideas so you can also further formulate them! He will probably be done by the time I'm done posting, so a link will be provided at the end!

Alright. Well, since nothing is set in stone, I'll post all of the sketches and how we built upon them. There are only 2, so don't worry.

This picture is probably huge, but that's okay.

Alright. In the top left, there was the first idea. To have 4 different towers to consist of the AG community. The middle tower was for Admins and Mods, and the others were for the top 100 kiddies (25 in each tower). Well, after thinking this through a bit, I decided to change that idea because not all of the top ranking peeps are active. So, let me direct your attention to the lower right section of the photo.

I then cut the towers into all of the community forum subsections, Such as Support and Suggestions & etc, then Gaming, then the Courtyard, and finally the Forge. Well, considering we want this in a castle so we can deviate from the WoM map, it turned into the more active forum subsections. Now, I will direct your attention to the middle top of the photo, where the towers are cut into ranks. This brings us to the second sketch...

This is a very basic 3D sketch of my idea.
So, you have your 4 towers, as shown. WEPR and AMW being the front because that is where we are focused. Tavern/Popular Media and Newb/AG3 are in the back because... they aren't important. The Admin/Mod tower is largest because they are the head peeps. The lil AG thing at the top isn't important, I just felt like doodling that bit in.

Anyways, you can see how the ranks go down from King/Queen, Prince/Princess, so on and so forth. That is what Acmed and I have down for ideas so far, at least where the setting is concerned. The main setting, anyways.

We will be posting more today, so do not worry.

Is there going to be anything in the area that isn't the towers but still inside the walls? Like at ground level.

What's CT?


CT is God.

Not to be a party pooper, but can't we come up with something more umm... original? I like the idea of incorporating some elements of the community, but something directly representative of the community has already been done like three times. I think we should have some characters reflect some members of the community (acmed, Moon, etc.), but otherwise have a brand new setting not clearly related to the community (some influence in a bit of an easter egg format would be entertaining).

@EnterOrion, we won't directly write the things posted on here. The AMW building can be renamed the Creation Room, or the WEPR is the News Room.

You guys like that? Should we start by renaming the buildings and start a beginning?

This can be the writer's view. It can be on a completely different planet in 2012.

I mean in regards to the WoM. Although, I'm not sure that was you're goal, to set us apart from it.

Unless of course, that was just you stating a idea that we could go with, and not an actual: "This is what we will do"

I meant in the writer's opinion. Whichever he wants to do it. Does he want to do this, or that. Or do you want to pre-plan where/when?
