You should be able to request a lock of your old thread, then make the fixed version.

Link the thread on Gantic's profile requesting it be locked.

Do the following steps to repost without trouble:

1) Find your old thread.
2) Copy its URL.
3) Go to a mod's profile. It is preferred that you go to the profile of an active mod, such as Gantic or Freakenstein.
4) Make a comment stating that you want the thread locked. Make sure to paste the URL somewhere to indicate the thread you want locked.
5) Make a new thread. The old one will eventually be locked as requested.
