i have seen in the forum that before the actual message is written someone else's message is written in a different font and they are replying to that person's message how do i do that?

It's quoting. Press the little blue botton above the text area, the one saying 'quote', paste in the reply you want to quote, then press it again to close the tagging. It will look something like this, but with [] instead of (): (quote)I am a quote.(/quote)
