I was just thinking that the world of Starcraft: Brood War is dying because people are more interested in the new Starcraft II. Although i fan of Starcraft II myself, I highly think that Starcraft: Brood War still requires a say in society. My point? PLAY MORE STARCRAFT: BROOD WAR so Blizzard doesn't shut it down!!! Besides, who canturn down classics

In a word, no. I love Brood War, personally, but SC II has so many better features. Selecting more than 12 guys, multiple building selection, not needing 300 APM to move a unit... the superior interface is the main draw.

In terms of balance, I actually liked Brood War better. I like Brood War units and stuff better. Corsairs over phoenix, and defilers over infestor. I understand why Blizzard balanced it the way they did, but I'm nostalgic.

But that's just multiplayer. As controversial as it is, I think the real game is campaign. And there, Starcraft 1 is the best. The missions were challenging (Starcraft 2 is really easy, though multiple difficulties help a bit) and the writing is way better. Starcraft had a dark and complex story, Wings of Liberty is a little too unambiguous and cheerful. I don't know, in short, the writing reminds me too much of the Blizzard I see behind World of Warcraft than the Blizzard behind Starcraft 1. Even the models look like WoW, with all those ridiculous, disgusting muscles.

Of course, Brood War's writing as horrible compared to Starcraft 1, but it had its moments.
