I couldn't help looking up their Wikipedia page to see if it was his real name, but the funny thing is none of the singers have a Wikipedia page for themselves! They only have a subsection for their band. Hehe, I finally have something to brag about besides the other obvious facts!


Shhh. Keep it quite or some twelve-year-olds might make a few thousand.

I think it's hilarious that one of them is named Harry Styles... come on, now how much more vain could you get? xD

Not a fan of one direction. I didn't like them on the X-factor, didn't like them when they started releasing music. That said, if their song comes on the radio, i sing along.

Harry styles is what bugs me most about this group. He thinks he is the only reason for their success, but those of you who watched UK x-factor would know that one directions band members were not good enough to progress into the finals on their own, so were thrown together. Harry acts as if he's the only band member. Not to mention dating Caroline Flack at 17 when shes 15 years his elder, dumping her and letting her deal with the death threats. Nice work.

The thing I dont get here is how people find them attractive. The picture in the second post is friken creepy, their eyes stare into my soul... And they are all like leaning on each other and....ewwww

I really, really, really dont like that music either. Its so sad, because thats what all the girls like.

No, but maybe it's a teen thing. Pretty much every teen girl i know adores them. Even the kids i teach in Indonesia are mad about them.

I'm mad about them too, just in a different way. Like i'd be mad about punching them :]

They're very similar to the Backstreet Boys, Westlife, NSYNC etc.
In the end they're just gonna die down just like how the B'bands that i mentioned above did.

Anyway, I don't like their music, actually, I hate the genre as a whole.


Agreed! I never really liked the Pop Genre but these days the music you hear everyone listening to is even worse. (Pop Music)
I mean before pop was alright, i didn't really like it but i could listen to it.

These days the amount of AutoTune put into music is unbelievable.
Not saying they used it back in the old days but never as much as now.

I don't know why morons on the Internet hate One Direction and Justin Bieber. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. People just want to hate them and do so irrationally.

"But their music is bad!" Yes, it is. Of course it is. Most music is awful. Hell, even the Beatles and Queen, two bands people love to claim are so much better, only have 4 or 5 good songs between them.

I would venture to say that the earlier boy bands definitely have more talent than today's. BSB and Westlife in particular evolved slightly over the years. They mature, they're not boy bands anymore. Just compare Millennium to Unbreakable for example. Whether One Direction can achieve that is another matter altogether.

Their music is actually quite good it's just the fact that they are in it for the looks, fame, and most of it is actually just about getting women... It is well known for other boy bands to do this, although maybe not as much... Such as JLS, I used to like them but I'm just gonna listen to good old Muse! Anyone gonna join me on that note?? : P

I'm sure he's referring to how teenage dadrockers overreact to the latest flavor-of-the-month pop artist. You don't like One Direction? Don't pay attention to him, plain and simple.

Boy bands actually seem more loved than hated.

I still treasure some JLS songs! But they went out of fashion....poor lads.
