I was gone for about a month, but I'm now back. However, I saw two seemingly impossible events occur to a single admin. The admin I am referring to is boppins, who was formerly known as mmorrison. Proof is in the following screenshot and explanation:
The screenshot is of comments on my profile with a green arrow pointing to comments made by boppins. However, I recognize those comments made before I left as being made by mmorrison. Therefore, I will conclude that mmorrison changed his username to boppins. Here's what's unusual about this event:
Username changes are not possible in AG2, yet that change occurred in AG2.
Also, when I attempt to go to mmorrison's profile, that profile is marked as perma-banned.
In addition, boppins has an armatar I have never seen before. It might be a seasonal, but such armatars cannot be switched to without hacking. Here's a screenshot of the armatar:
Also note that I cannot use this armatar even though I have more AP than boppins.
He's an admin? Isn't it obvious? Admins can change their usernames, probably by changing some sort of source code. Remember how ProfessorOak got his name changed by Carlie because he spelled it wrong? (That DID happen, right?) That's probably the only time they've done it. But it's definitely possible, or else his name wouldn't have changed. That simple. As to the armatar, again, he's an admin. He probably uploaded the armatar himself or something, seeing as he has access to AG's servers.. It's mind-numbingly obvious if you do a teensy amount of thinking.
This isn't really anything new... I believe Matrix brought this up a while back when it first happened. I assume that the administrators can do whatever they want to themselves. I guess that's one of the benefits of having power.
How are these new? This has been possible for admins since the beginning of AG2. Name changes were rare and personalized armatars were possible but never done before.
