No I dont think it is a Top Ten tagerting thing, I think it just goes for random users. Besides it wasnt that big of a deal, it only lasted for 2 minutes, for me at least.
Whether or not it's a top 10 targerted thing... it hit me again, but with even bigger guns this time... (o.O)
My profile showed the default Armatar, my username (right top corner) was gone, my AP counter was blank, my ranking was blank and worst of all... when I wanted to report it, the forums were completely gone (WUT?!) and I couldn't post or comment anymore! (o.O)
It has been restored back to normal now about 15 minutes ago, but it had me woried for more than a day as I thought that both the forums had been wiped and/or the website was hacked! Glad it's normal again... for the time being... *suspiciously looks left and right*
It doesn't have anything to do with the server. Coding doesn't change because of server problems. It's a website structure problem. One of the admins probably left a few numbers in the wrong spot. One glitchy line of code can cause a chain reaction of failure.
I already figured out that messing with the HTML structure can cause major problems, but to think of leaving a few numbers in the wrong spot can be a linch pin for the entire website to act up? You are probably (of course) right about it, but... geeessshh (o.O) ...that's scary stuff! Try finding the problem when it happens! Good luck there!
