You learn something new every day, whether or not you realize it right away. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Today I learned the difference between bowler hats, pork pie hats and fedoras. Before today, they were all just fedoras to me. It never occurred to me that all three of these different hat styles had different names.
I also learned that Roseanne is Jewish, and that gummy shot glasses exist.
It doesn't have to be anything life-changing or significant or anything, just something that you learned. So AG, I ask you now, what did you learn today?
I have a long way to go before I'm a chess grandmaster, at the same time, I'm going to be obsessed with reaching this goal until I'm checkmated by the Reaper, and I'm always going to be looking for a win.
Haha, Gandalf, I know that feeling, but it's even harder when your grandma grew them herself in her garden. Today I learned that the movie World War Z is so popular, the copies of the books are all taken out and have up to four people holding it for when it's returned, at two different libraries.
I learned that your spinal cord processes most reflexes because the response has to be sent at such great speed back to the nerve that sent the reflex (to stop injury) that the message doesn't have time to go to the brain and back. (ex. when you touch something hot, your hand instantly jerks away)
