It probably won't be a 'site wide flip' from AG2 (current) to the new AG3 website as boppins (AG admin) already explained, but more of a process where they implement features one-by-one and then make this website the new version of AG.

has the transfer from AG2 to AG3 happen already?

No, and there will be no clear indicator except an announcement from the admins, which is not guaranteed to happen.

As Patrick stated, it hasn't happened... completely, but it is in progress at the moment so to speak. They already implemented some very small features into the current AG2, but these are all very tiny compared to the bigger features that take more time and effort.

Whether they will start adding/implementing those soon is something we will have to wait for untill an admin says 'green light, go!' and we sit in awe... *bright light* (o.O)

An update will probably happen soon: My bar (pic'd below) just changed and some threads have the large-font quotes.

soon

In other words, 2+ more years.

Oh no! The AG3 skeptics have come out of hiding again!

Except since we can see the results unfold before our very eyes as a "transitional figure" of sorts, this is more than enough evidence to suggest that the transition will take place much shorter than two or more years.
