ok First of all, I am not complaining against the ads. I know the ads are essential for this site to continue providing games for free. However I am disturbed by the content in one of these advertisements: The "Legacy of heroes" advertisement shows an image of a nude person. I dont think this is appropriate for kids (like me) who visit this website and would like to request that it be removed. If it cannot be removed I will understand, but I will be forced to stop going to this website until it is removed. Thank you
As Frank has pointed out, she's not nude. It should definitely be noted that this character isn't exactly human, though I can't seem to find any information on what she actually is. Although it doesn't appear that this character is wearing anything, the artist chose wisely not to reveal anything that would be deemed "inappropriate" for younger players.
Believe me, I've seen far more revealing ads that this site sponsors for offsite games.
Eheu! Another MMO took over the background, so worry no more.
lucky! that's the only add i see when i go to any game category (besides MMO)/game(besides MMO)/game search/home page. so am i pretty much the only person who sees this add this constantly?
I think I remember another post like this a while ago. All in all, I think the response was that AG doesn't have any power over what advertisements are shown - they are controlled by the agency that AG corresponds with to earn monehs. Trying to find a 'better' ad agency would mean most likely finding one that earns them less money, and loss in net income, and so on and so forth.
You mean W3 and Facebook? That's where the scripts are handled.
back to what was said about the ad not being controlled by A.G. couldn't they at least make a suggestion like feature a different character or provide another option so we could refresh and get a different ad. this has nothing to do with the violence of games but what is and isn't appropriate to show in a public setting. if you want to play that game it is your choice but there are many children who enter this site and play age appropriate games with or without a profile doesn't matter, and in all honesty I'd feel much better if it wern't there. (something to be said about respecting women)
but armour games has a great variety of games and a great variety of gamers and should do something to accommodate that variety, imagine if every kid under 13 stopped playing armour games... that's like over half the gamers. i think if armour games stated their case that the advertisement companies would in fact lose more coverage by ostracising the younger players. so it would be in there best interest also.
Thank you so much patrick. jeol, no the advertisement did not accomplish its purpose because now I will be sure to boycott that game. No, I am not disturbed by some of the violent games here because I NEVER PLAY THEM. I complained against this ad because it was forced on me.
