Earlier today the New York Islanders made a 25-year agreement with the Barclays Center to play there. In the NHL season of 2015-2016(if their is a season.(lockout)) Barclays center will be their new home. But 2014-2015 will be played at the Nassau Coliseum.Let's Go Rangers!!

Not a big surprise. The writing was on the wall for a move when the replacement for the Nassau Coliseum was voted down.
The Islanders Leaving is a shame, but it doesn't need to be a disaster. I really hope this move works out for everyone.

Hopefully that will improve the chances of them landing a few free agent signings who want to play in a better arena!

Wait did the New Jersey Nets move to Brooklyn too or am I missing something?

Eeyup, the Islanders and the Nets are gonna share the same arena.

Unlike the former New Jersey Nets however, the Islanders won't be changing their name.
