Greetings, minioerhmmm faithful citizens of ArmorGames!

The time has come to revive a proud, old tradition; that is, the seasonal/holiday armatar contests!

We'll be starting out with Thanksgiving - you can chip in with a thematically appropriate submission even if you don't celebrate it.

GUIDELINES:
1) Must be appropriate Cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Keep it clean!
2) The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension.
3) Must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to armatar size. A few suggestions about this:
- Sometimes simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So just keep in mind what the final size will be.
- If you are able to do vector, that can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue.
4) Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other pieces of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% created by you.
5) Must be Thanksgiving themed.

Note that we won't necessarily add all submissions... Make 'em look good, guys!

Also note that these will likely go up in batches preceding the actual holiday, and disappear from the armatar roster as we approach the winter theme.

I doubt it if there is a due date.
The thread will probably get locked the day of or after Thanksgiving.

Create one pixel at a time if you have to. I don't want pickpocket and I to be the only ones participating after we tried so hard to get this going again.

Same, except my art skill level has not yet exceeded the quality of the program =) I downloaded GIMP a couple months ago, but I still don't get on how to properly work it, so back to Paintbrush I go!

What do you mean?
Like; you can't get it from 'My Pictures' to here?
If that is the case, you need to upload it to an image hosting site, like photobucket, imageshack, tinypic, ect.

GoH's just about nailed it, though. You have until the holiday theme is no longer fitting.

As already mentioned, you need to host it somewhere to link it.
Imgur, flickr, tumblr, deviantART and a ton of other sites (like the ones GoH mentioned) all work for this.

Multiple entries are fine.

How often will you be putting up submissions?

Was planning on pestering Ferret about adding some every 5-10 or so, depending on entry flow.

And; is there a certain criteria one must pass to be submitted?
We (mainly Ferret and me) must subjectively deem them good enough. No exact criteria, just "looks good".

Not sure about this one - it looks fine as it is, but I worry it won't scale down well due to being pixel art-esque. Haven't checked, though.

Gonna be a day or two before I round the first batch up.

(Btw, forum posts display armatars as 70x70, comments use 25x25 and profiles 80x80.)
