As you all know hurricane sandy is rocking USA from Florida to New England with wind speed 110 mph and has paralyzed ordinary life in many states. What are your thoughts about it?
The movie was based off a non-fiction book about the 1991 Perfect Storm. From what I overheard my uncle knew the actual captain who went through that storm.
It's a heartbreaking situation. I wish I could go there and help out in any way I can.
I also wanted to mention to people that they SHOULDN'T donate to the American Red Cross. Choose a different charity focusing on Hurricane Sandy victims.
The American Red Cross already has a poisonous reputation of skimming donation money for disasters and doing who-knows-what with it. Example: $255 million dollars was raised for the earthquake in Haiti. The American Red Cross only forked over $80 million of it. The same thing happened in 9/11 and an earthquake that struck San Francisco in the 80's.
