As an atheist I am a victim of prejudice. (Nothing too serious it's more of an annoyance. Things like people telling me I'm going to hell, go to church, bla bla bla.) I was wondering who you guys think has it harder when it comes to prejudice and hate, gays or atheists? (I am in the US, where both groups are treated like crap.)
I'm an Atheist, my primary school was a Catholic School. The Catholic Church is very bent on money and power (and I don't care if I'm blaspheming). Lots of people also think I'm gay ( I can see why) but I just shrug it off. I'm rarely slagged or teased about being gay, even though I'm not. But in school, the teachers would have put up prayers and say stuff about how important it is to think that you have a "guardian angel" guarding and minding you. Meh.
But the Catholic Church treats both like crap. I think that gay people would have it harder though.
