Do any of you guys/girls feel like "oh that person has that armatar so if I choose it people will think I'm a copier."

I had a perfect example of this, when I went to visit Jeff1999 I saw a comment on his profile with Minotaur55 asking him why he was using his "armatar"

And Mino, I have no offence to you because I have never met you so please don't hate me. Jeff might see you as a role model or good friend, but just because he put the Minotaur armatar shouldn't give you the right to ask him why he put that armatar. He may like that armatar also.

I also have a cure all to this problem.

READ PEOPLE'S NAMES. Unless two people have identical usernames, which is extremely uncommon, if not impossible, you will be able to tell them apart every time.

armatars dont belong to one person becuz they are limited so people shouldnt complain about it..

Ah Patrick, in away, you are wrong. Do you not remember the firetail_madness crisis? How about the Santi one? Two cases where extremely similar usernames resulted in mass panic.

They're not identical. That's merely a glitch. similar =/= identical, therefore, it is still correct to read usernames.

Strangely enough, they're right next to each other in the top 100.

Most of you probably haven't been here long enough to remember Ricador. He prominently wore the polar bear armatar before any of the aforementioned users. I also remember a user named kevin44 wearing it for a while.

I'm thinking of not changing my armatar for a while, then this'll be "mine".

Oh yeah, Cen. Believe me, when you were a mod, I had a hard time telling you apart from Strop.


This. It used to confuse me so much, I don't even know why. But then I see the horse porn, then I know who's who.

I remember pickpocket by that elf dude with a mustache, but when he changed it to the grim reaper thing, I was overly baffled about it, even though I always read names first.

Me, Jeffery's and someone else (I can't remember exactly who) have had this tiger armatar for quite a while now

It is possible to get 'similar' user names, for example, any name with an l, change it with a capital I.

How quickly do we forget about cormyn.


I associate cormyn with the skeleton with the orange background, the one Skeleton_Pirate uses now.
I know that he's using the polar bear now, but, I don't really remember him with it.

Cen = green.
Strop = orange.

Should I be slightly bothered that people can't/couldn't differentiate between Strop and I, or worried that such a large pat of the population is orange/green colourblind?
It was worse with the blank and the starry armatar. I was so modster I got reports before I was a mod because of that.

One of these days, either Strop or I are allowed to get a custom armatar, and we will make sure to make it look nothing like the other's.
And people will still confuse us.
And it will be weird.
And it should have been included in the WoM, why didn't we think of that...

If so, I think of it as a ghost (the non-seasonal one).

And people will still confuse us.


At least it shouldn't be as many, since one would be really stupid to confuse the one with the custom armatar and the one with the shield armatar.

Couldn't the same be said for people confusing ORANGE and GREEN, or, for that matter, someone writing with a distinct blue colour and one writing with a very normal black colour. Or someone called Strop, who writes funny stuff, and someone named Cenere, that really doesn't?
I honestly doubt it would change anything.

Also, no offence meant to the people that does confuse us, I am just - confused by your (former) confusion.
