I might have missed this in the game help information - but how do you improve the "shape" of the weapon? I'm lvl 10 now, and all the weapon shapes are still off, and my forging result hovers around 60. I'm striking the edge of the swords for instance, and getting "great" or "good" results usually... I guess, specifically - how do I improve the "forging" result? Anyway, Thanks in advance for help.

Jack smith is a good game the problem is the repetitive... ;-( it killed me ...at the end ^^ but we learn ( for some..) how the weapons were created and all those things....it is interesting it is at least a 8/10 game

Andalyn, when you pour the melted metal do you do it slowly? Withouth spilling? Thats the main reason for bad shape if i recall correctly

I'm not sure I understand the question so I'll be thorough.

First thing you need to do is melt and pour the metal in. I always made a point to pour when the dial was at the very middle of the metal in question but I'm not sure it actually matter. What really matter is that if you are pouring too fast you will have spills and that will weaken the weapon stats. As soon as you see some metal getting out of the mold you're better off scrapping the weapon and starting over.

If it is about hitting the blades with your hammer, you need to make sure you cover all the hammering area with your hits. Getting good or great ratings mean nothing more than this particular hammer hit was covering a good or perfect portion in relation to the last hit. The trick here of course is that you have a limited amount of hits available so you need to make the best of it. I never had much problem with the first early blades though. If you take the first sword, I usually end the sword with 2 or 3 hits left and it's already perfect. Just to be sure I usually hit randomly in spaces I think there might be a chance I missed somewhere.

If you need help knowing how to cover a specific weapon then just ask me.

Then, you need to actually build the weapon itself. Here it is important to center all the pieces to get the perfect rating. Awesome is actually lower than perfect. If you miss you'll probably notice that the weapon is getting crooked somewhat and the stats of the weapon will be lowered.

Again, if you need advice on a particular type of weapon just ask.
