Ok so on your profile there is an aim section next to all your other accounts does aim here stand for aol instant messenger (I highly doubt this but the way its with other accounts makes me wonder) or aim as in something you aim to do.
Correct... AIM is one of the social features that are added to the user profiles, as is MSN and the gaming console callsigns. Most users do use them for funny stuff or their initial intention, state their callsigns. =)
I bet you can guess what most users use the AIM one for...

Other examples of the (mis)use of the AIM username is where users like to state what Armor Rank they wish to ultimately achieve, like "Wood Prince - ... AP" for example...
