Can someone explain how the damage system rankings work? For example what does 4d4 damage mean? How do i tell what is a better weapon, besides looking at how much is costs or sells for...

It is explaned at least in Arkandian crusade:

First number displays ammounts of dice thrown and the second shows the numebrs of sides those dices have.
For example weapon that deals 2d6 damage can deal between 2 and 12 damage Two six sided dice are rolled and the result is the damage dealt.

Wow... Frankly, how can someone NOT know about the dice system? It is a system which been used to generally since games do exist that it should be a classical way to run games and everybody should know about it...

Even some frigging console games these days use the D&D system in some D&D games to achieve exactly the same thing.

How someone can't simply guess out that 2d6 mean 2 times a six sided dice baffle me.

I'm actually wondering about the "enchantments". Is it explained at all in the game?

I was wondering that myself. Didn't figure it out yet.

I did complete a quest which gave me +100 enchantment. But I did a few quests which did the same for the other crafting skills.

Since I'm yet to find a use to the crafting skills I'm also wondering if it is worth any trouble to even think about enchantment too.

I noticed that using the disenchanter from the shops (or if you find them) increase your enchanting skill. I've also noticed that in rare instance, disenchanting items give out gems.

I am thus guessing a higher skill in enchanting mean higher chance to get better components out of the items and more gems too.
