Despite his young age and charming looks, Talen never had any interest for courting. He couldnât stand courting with people. Not after what happened with Karina. He shook his head, wiping the tears in his eyes that came whenever Talen thought of Karina.
âAre you staying, sir?â The innkeeper asked, a polite but impatient smile on his face. Talen looked up and realised that as he sat there, the customers had slowly drained out of the inn. Talen was surprised he didnât notice.
âNo. Iâll leave you to it. Donât want to be disturbing you.â And with that, he left.

Not one big story that everyone continues. At least I don't think so.

The moon was high and ominous, lending the path an eerie cover of darkness and shadows. Talen was careful with his choice of roads. Bandits usually took to night like sheep took to grazing around and âbaa-âing. He stopped as he noticed a rat out of the corner of his eye. The rat was staring at him. It seemed to be radiating darkness. Evil. He shrugged and walked on, unable to get the rat out of his head. He suddenly returned from his zoned-out state. He had wandered off the path, into the forest that grew next to the village.
Despite what you said, I will continue to post exactly 100 words. It's a nice challenge.
