When I make a post in the forums, my armatar is showing up as the starry shield. However, the slot at the top where your armatar is displayed next to the profile drop down menu, is still the disturbingly feminine unicorn. When visiting my profile, the armatar their is the shield with the yellow background.
I've tried simply refreshing, hard refreshing, loging out/in and using different web browsers, all of which yielded no results.
Not sure what could be causing it to reset to different armatars.
What you experienced is the "Rogue Glitch" (as explained in this thread) which crosses your profile with another user's profile and scrambles both your data, AP, Friends List, etc...
Even though it is being looked at right now, there's no solution for it as of yet. Therefor, all I can say is 'Welcome to the RG club' skater_kid...
A quick (but never final) fix would be to make a profile comment and by that updating your AP count. But as I stated with that... it doesn't fix the problem and the glitch will resurface after a while... =)

Is it me or is the glitch stronger now? Before...it did affect a lot of user and was spreading quickly (a lot more quickly than now)...but now it is affecting users it wasn't able to affect before (example: myself a while back, pointed out by ModDayCee)
I can't tell with any certainty, but it looks like it... it is targeting new profiles and in a slightly different way apparently. I've heard several users complain about being hit and thus loosing AP, but I doubt these are related.
