Welcome to the fourth installment of the Super Star Showdown series. An annual tournament for gamers from different forums to come together and compete against each other.

This edition will feature Kongregate against Armor Games. Gamers, from either forum may enter. Up to sixteen players per forum. Once enough people have signed up the tournament will begin.

The tournament follows a single elimination style structure. That means you will face one opponent per round, with the winners moving on and the losers going home.

The champion, gets rewarded with a trophy sig and avatar. Which is a specially designed art piece to commemorate their victory.

Here are the rules:

1. Scores must be submitted as a screenshot. No other proof will be accepted.

2. All rounds last for exactly 3 days (acording to GMT.) Scores posted before or after the deadline will not be accepted.

3. Hacking is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate disqualification.

All right guys. Itâs time to start Round 1

I'm sure Sour, will remember this one.

Plumet



For this round, Iâll be taking you back to January 2010. Loloynage, was hosting his first tournament on Armor Games and after a series of hard fought battles, there were two gamers left. Myself and Sourwhatup2.

The game we had to play was Plumet. A surprisingly addictive platformer, with one of the best sound tracks of all time. Thereâs no story to the game whatsoever. Youâre a guy, who falls through pits in an attempt to survive being crushed to death by the computer screen. Epic!

Itâs been three years since I first played the game. And with Sour being active in the tournament, I just couldnât resist.

Have fun, itâs one of the best.

Here's the new draw. Only one change has been made. Leo99rules will play MyNameIsNothing and Hamuka will face Xxerox.

Now everyone should have an opponent from the opposing forum.

I don't like this game. Once you hit the speed up at 20,000 points, how long you live from there is pure luck. Once a double back comes you're simply dead. Your guy can't move fast enough to make that while the screen is going up at that rate.

That's a pretty highscore considering the highest legit scores are in the 40k and 50k region.

I very seriously doubt there are any legit scores in the 50k region.

Well you know what I mean xD. They are in to 40k region I think anyways. I just can't find any highscores that's the problem.

Anyways I'm going to play now and get a score..

Yeah, it is. I got lucky for a while with a bunch of drops near to each other. The second one came that I had to move any reasonable distance I died.

Like I said, after 20k it's pure luck. You can keep going until it forces you to run fully across the platforms back and forth twice.

I just can't find any highscores that's the problem.


Yeah, I couldn't find any either. It just continually says Loading and if you go to the site it doesn't have anything.

Yup.. My highest score so far is 32k, Trying to get higher but I always die at around 27-29k -.-
