I suggest not listening to rap because it isn't music. Sure they got rhythm, but rhythm alone isn't music.

My favorite rap song of all time is "Lucas With The Lid Off" by rapper Lucas. It sounds iffy, but it combines early 90s rap elements with a classic 30s/40s swing beat.

newish rap sucks. look that up on youtube, its better than the crap we have today.

I don't really listen to rap but when I do, I listen to either In Da Club by 50 Cent, California Love by Tupac, or Simon Says by Pharoahe Monch. I can't get into new rap so I like the older stuff, and even then I can only listen to a little bit of it.
