Seriously. What's the big deal with China? Yes, they censor the internet. Yes, they wreck their own environment. But when they want oil, they buy oil. They don't invade some poor country in the middle east and blame it on quote-on-quote "terrorists". They pay for it. When they want to make a buck, they sell a ton of plastic toy cars at rock-bottom prices. They don't sell non-reproducing grain that people have to buy again and again. Besides, it's the backbone of the world's economy. It has the US dollar (and therefore every dollar pegged to it) in its pocket. It produces everything and sells it to everyone. And the US is, well, no better. It doesn't censor the web because it doesn't care that everyone knows it (and the UK) bombed Iraq flat. And the US/UK have virtually no environmental protection. The EPA is a joke and the UK, well, the UK got rid of its environment centuries ago. Read up on the Vietnam war. American conduct was pretty much a violation of the Geneva Convention. Are we to forget all this just so we can demonise China? Also, I'll have you know I've been to Vietnam and China.
i understand india's concern. china that teams up whit the arch enemy doesn't sound good. but i dont see the wrong intentions that china has, suggested by india.
China and India fought a war in 1967 over ladakh area of kashmir.
why would they want to disrupt this great trade route?
They are again getting in that cold war "containment strategy".
Just curious Salvidian, but wouldn't that be a reason to hate capitalism, not vise-versa?
It's actually a complicated system. I guess the main reason derives from American nationality and American love for capitalism. Communism and capitalism are seen as polar opposites (or capitalism and socialism; any difference between socialism and communism concerning economy is irrelevant), so the fact that they're working together to get stronger ticks off many Americans. In a way, I suppose it can lead to hate on both sides.
See the problem with this statement, aside from it being somewhat narrow minded and heavily conservative, is we have no idea what you're talking about. You see, what you're calling "communism" actually isn't communism. There is no such thing as communism, except for the ideological form. Now, are we saying that Mao killed these people, or "communism" killed these people?
No, please don't get into that Liberal garbage about, "its not true communism." Too bad, the soviet states, China, and Cuba call what they have adapted as Communism. So that's what I and the rest of the world calls it.

from those 3 only cuba is communistic. and cuba really isn't as bad as you think. it would be a good idea for you to open your mind a little. china is much more capitalistic then nearly any country. (including the usa.)
I think the reason everyone is mad at China is because they are just a big and powerful country even thought that they have a lot of problems they still have a big military. And they have a big population.
