So Pakistan is giving green signal to the gas pipeline it has been postponing for decades and USA is threatning to impose sanctions if we do so and has said it will provide alternate source(which it has not done for decades when we have been postponing the pipeline). What are your thoughts on it?
1) Why are U.S. officials even scared of Iran? If they ever attacked us all it would do is give us the green light to take out their government and do what we wanted with it like every other place that pseudo attacked us ever.
I don't think it's fear of Iran as a military/economic/whatever power. It's fear of the violent anti-western mindset getting power. Kind of like communism vs capitalism, it's a clash of ideology. Whatever the US can do to weaken their future opponents, the easier it will be to crush them later on when they make a move. It's not cheating if you make the rules.
all it would do is give us the green light to take out their government
Then their leaders become martyrs in defense of their customs/ideals.
sorry there was supposed to be a question mark after the 1st sentence last post.
Of course. Ideas are almost impossible to eradicate.
yea, thats why i asked if we should keep biting them? just respect their culture and work along. dont try to control it from outside whit these kinda sanctions. they have a reversed effect anyway. it's like seeking for enemies.
The problem is their culture is pretty much impossible to work with, kind of like how Japan killed all foreigners before the 1850s and the threat of force was the only way to change thier policies.
dont try to control it from outside whit these kinda sanctions. they have a reversed effect anyway.
It makes their anti-western position stronger, but makes their physical abilities to act upon those beliefs weaker.
The difference is the US basically bailed them out of wwi debts and strengthened their economy. I really doubt Iran can industrialize when their main export is obstructed.
