This is a personal little guide to what I think are the best weapons in each class of COD4. I will give specs, tips and a rating out of 100.
Melee: Knife. (no contest here) [no specs here] a) Use when close up and have full clip. b) Unless in HC, where it doesnt matter, you DONT show up on radar if you knife! Rating: 86/100
Pistols: Deagle. Power: High Range: Medium Rate of fire: Medium Reload speed: 2-3 sec
a) This is a perfect backup weapon as it combines clip size and power! b) good for snipers. Someone sneaks up, *bang!* c) With stooping power perk, its a 1 shot kill in the chest. Rating: 93/100
Assault Rifles: G36C Power: Medium Range: High Rate of fire: Medium-High Reload speed: 2-3.3 sec
a) A solid assault rifle, no tips really, just aim and fire. Rating: 94/100
SMG: P90
Power: Low Range: Medium Rate of fire: HIGH!!!!!!!! Reload speed: 3-3.5 sec
a) Voted by most as the best all-around weapon of the game. b) As with Deagle, a perfect sniper backup. You have to get Overkill though. No sniping points, whip out the fav weapon and let rip! Rating: 99/100
LMG: SAW
Power: Medium Range: High Rate of fire: So high planes dont go there! Reload speed: 8-10 sec
a) Slight of Hand a must with this weapon and all LMG's. The reload speed is too high, but with SOH, you cut it in half! b) Get "Grip" and Steady aim, go prne and its deadly accurate! Rating: 79/100
Shotgun: W10002 (The pump one)
Power: High Range: Low Rate of fire: Low Reload speed: 0.5 sec per shell
a) Its good, I personally have Overkill and put the M1021 shottie in as a backup. Just for fun. b) Get a deagle or USP for this, its really worth it! Rating: 84/100
I say tht the best sniper is the dragonov because 50 cal makes things way too easy and I like not having to reload after every shot, I'm not that big of a fan of SMGs in general but I do like light machine guns with double tap and a gold desert eagle (I like them so much I already have Gold in that weapon catagory) I am learning to like assault rifels with the class you see above but my main is sniper rifels with claymores, stopping power (or UAV jammer), and iron lungs.
MP5 is the best. My class which I always get 15 Kill streaks with is: MP5 Redtigger Perk 1: Bandolier Perk 2: Stopping Power Perk 3: Steady Aim It's the best rusher perk ever, also I'm a 2 year CoD 4 veteran and I play it everyday.
I personally think the skorpion is the most under-rated and under used gun in any video game. People diss it all the time but YouTube it and you'll see how effective it is. You can even snipe with it fairly well. In close quarters it beats a shotgun hands down-longer range and better aiming from the hip. Plus it has virtually no recoil. If you started aiming at something, you'll still be dead on at the end of the clip. It also has the slight advantage of looking harmless in a team rush. The other guys always go for the heavy guns and sniper dudes rushing them first-they practically ignore the noob with the "istol". I had played other fps games for years and so cod4 wasn't too hard a transition. To challenge myself I learned using the skorpion. Only real men can hold their own using a skorpion. The killhouse map is practically MADE for the skorpion. Oh and dual wield in cod blkops skorpions is just killer
