I only see this as a problem if you rely solely on it.

didn't your 1st link had the means of solely relying in this? (he3 is)

If you use it to feed the produced energy into the country's power supply, you can control that easily.

yep, and it's good that it already happens. we just have to do way more local (country size) projects to get less pollution. but we can't rely on it. but everything done is good. it will make be a great thing when we have both the natural energy and he3. then were (sort of) cheap and 100% "green".

I dare you to purchase the paper and prove me wrong.

they say a global power grid. but leave out most of the world (south-america, africa and asia.) i can figure out africa whit the sun. but not south america and asia.
they say it like this can solve all the pollution. what it doesn't because the power generated this way is not constant. (it is if we want to get low power suply at one time and exploding sockets at the next.)

however this may sound like i'm against it.... i dont. i just dont take it in the way they describe it. it is not going to be the holy grail. and if they actual researchers are trusty then i'm pretty sure they will say the same. and this article has polished it a bit to much.

Advertisement of their project ... It's true, it won't solve all problems, but it gives new ideas and fresh wind (no pun intended) for alternative energies like wind and solar, which is especially precious in these times where the public interest in those technologies are slowly decreasing. People need to learn that putting a few solar panels here and there won't change the world, we need more broad projects like this global grid or finally using all flat roofs in cities for sun panels, stuff like that.

could you post it?

Sry, i don't have a link, only the PDF

i agree more and bigger projects need to be done.
but those that advertise for it should be real whit the public. and not saying things that can't be reality. what good will it do to lie (or hold back, just how you wanna see it).

They don't lie. They made measurements with actual wind mills in Greenland, and made feasability studies based on those. More details to come..

The link at the end of the article leads you to the download, but it's not free. I realized I could access it via my university, luckily.

I wish they would hurry up and start tapping the oil in North Dakota so prices go down... Oh wait! They'll probably sell it all to China for 20$ a barrel, they buy it from OPEC or wherever for 90$ a barrel... I love that.

Oil hovers around a single price range. Don't exaggerate and obfuscate.
