I recently got the spore creature creator and boy is it awesome! You can make your person look like what ever you want, paint it multiple colors, give it a name, and description. I made this one that was this orange worm thing it's head was a carnivore head, it had 3 dots for the eyes, and then a spiky mace-ball at the end, gave it some detail items and then it looked sweet, it even inches around like a worm, except it's like 50x bigger than a worm!! Then, you can sign up on the spore website to look at what other people have made, and edit it, move the joints take off the legs add more arms anything you want!!
But...I don't have it yet =( Actually, I didn't even know it came out! Then again, now that I think about it, I did hear it was to come out in June 2008....yeah so anywayz, I can't wait to get it.

Sad yes, I know, maybe it's been more than 5 years, I don't know, maybe less, whenever it was first announced, I just rounded it off by bad memory to 5 lol. I've seen some of it, well, a very long time ago but I know what you're talking about =D Is it still a game where you basically raise your creature from bacteria form to how it's supposed to look like(when you made it), and then make it progress into various eras(like say Stone, Medevial, Modern, and 'Future' Ages), cause when they were developing it they wanted to make it where if you had online(you should lol), you could basically go to other people's creation's planets and do whatever(trade, ally, invade, ect.). I'm not sure if they'd still have that cause that would be a pain to do...
But then again, they took so long they probably could've done that =/
It's still so cool, I'll eventually get it when I'm not too cheap to spend my money $_$
