pc's macs are complete and utter rips. they can get viruses even if you have kaspersky and there is not much more anything interesting about it then the pc
The truth is both are good for their respective things. Some might flame oh your a macfag or your a hardcore pc douche but honestly I have had both and right now I am using a new macbook pro and it's great. Do all my work on it, it's simple and efficient, never a single problem. But before you judge. I also have PC on here via bootcamp and have all my videogames there. Every once and a while I scan my XP drive with my mac to make sure I have no viruses and honestly this is the best setup. It's like having windows with the no viruses of mac. Xp by itself is glitchy and mac by itself gets boring fast. So in all honestly both together is the best way to go about having a computer. I have yet to have a problem. EVER. And trust me the things I do on laptops tend to get my computers in the gutter fast.(No. I don't mean porn) If you want to know anything about mac/pc working together or separate I know pretty much everything there is to know about both. And before you say Mac cant run games even with windows. I play Crysis on high settings all the time! :O)
Okay, I'll start off with noting that PC means Personal Computer, which includes Linux, Windows, and Macintosh (By operating system) so the question is technically "Mac versus Mac, Windows and Linux".
Now, Windows is good for its total custom ability. It's size allows its user manually open it and install items without going to a professional. Windows is also good because many games are meant for Windows/Linux, and not Macintosh. My friend uses Macintosh and even with Cross-Over they are choppy and some won't even work. Another thing is that Windows are able to be bought at the low end. With minimum stats. Macintosh on the other hand is buy everything for our high price!
Macintosh is a more high-end only sort of thing. They are great just the only bad part is that when they where first starting they made a huge mistake of cutting out many third parties from developing software for them. So pretty much everything you need for a Macintosh is made by Apple Inc., costing even more money. It IS true that Macintosh is ready to go out of the box, but they are too small to get into manually. Look at the MacBook Air - so small you need an external DvD-ROM drive!
In the end, I say get a Windows computer for games (Don't get Vista, get XP) and Macintosh for everything else.
linix is a programe for PC and i belive it can go on mac's
Linux is a free-ware operating system (OS). Windows and Macintosh use their own OS (Such as Windows is mainly IBM and Macintosh OSX). Linux can be edited by anyone and released by anyone.
Not sure if you read my post at all but I just said that my mac runs crysis just fine. If you use bootcamp properly there should be no chop, if there is it is your own fault for messing something up, which is hard because mac does all the work for you. Also Windows is easier to open because there are more problems. With mac it doesn't need to be easily accesible because there is nothing wrong. Although I do hate the macbook air I think it is stupid and a waste of money. Also macs come cheap also not just all expensive. Problem with Windows is exactly what you said was a flaw for macintosh which it clearly isn't, and that is having every part of your computer made by Apple. Alot of peopld complain of not being able to run a certain game on their windows and it's just that. Their computers are made from parts spanning from dozens of different manufacturers whereas Apple has remade everything to fit and work on the mac as one machine. Not many different parts. Which is why utilizing this unity on a mac with the power of windows is the best way to game. Takes less power to play better games on mac because the hardware is so fluidly made to work together and not just slabbed in.
