This may be in the wrong spot but maybe someone can help me. I am close to releasing a demo of the game my "company" has been working on and was wondering what people do for copyright? Does anyone know what copyright to do and how to do it? Thanks if you can help.

If you live in the US, anything you create that can be copyrighted is copyrighted when you make it, you don't have to submit anything officially. It may be that way elsewhere in the world too, I'm just sure enough to say with confidence.

Keep in mind that generally speaking, gameplay mechanics can't be copyrighted.

Some more copyright stuff I found. Though I wouldn't be too worried about copyright if someone stole your game and uploaded it to a popular US site you should have no problem proving that it was stolen and you are the original creator. Otherwise I wouldn't go hunting down small sites where people have posted and or expect people in other countries to respect US law. Just get your game on the large sites and you should have no problem.
