Simply be active on the website in the community! Meet users and have conversations and you will find people who befriend you. Make an introduction thread in the Newcomers Forum for example (if you are a new member) and tell a little about yourself! No sensitive information of course...

is there a search bar or something like that to find people?

Currently there is no such feature. Maybe in the future it will be implemented.

However, if you know their exact username, type this into your browser and add the username at the blank space. This will lead you to his/her profile.
