when i try to play D2,the adds make the game choppy. it is only on that game. i turned the graphics down and reloaded the game a few times to see if i can get the non-animated adds. that did not work, so i guess what im asking is there a way you guys can make it 1 animated and the other sill add, or do i need to buck up and just deal with it?

Thank you
PJB

Same for me. Not sure if ad-blocker will work. Try it!

I use my firewall to block the ads, but then the online saves don't save my progress properly. This is becoming a big issue for me, and not just with Decision 2. I understand that Armor supplies free games from the money they make on advertising, but the flash ads (especially World of Tanks!!) is ruining my gaming experience. I truelly belive something has to be done to balance the advertising space and the gaming exeperience.

Also, the adds are (i know this is the point) just plain distracting.

The advertisements being distracting is not something ArmorGames can help with to be honest... it prooves they work in fact! And the funds to keep the website free needs to come from somewhere of course.

As for the lagging, I will ask around to see whether there is a problem or conflict for this particular game and have an admin take a look, ok? Hang tight! =)

@MrDayCee: Thanks for responding and looking into the issue. I do understand the need/purpose of the ads to keep this site free, but a free site that doesn't work very well isn't of much use, is it? I would suggest two possible courses of action:

1) only accept banner ads that are not animated or flash intensive, or

2) allow an option, or banner re-load tool, on the banner ad that would change the &quotroblematic" banner for a non-problem one. I have seen this on other gaming sites.

It looks like the World of Tanks ad is the culprit? Can we get a confirmation on that, and also any other ads that could be causing issues?

@Cranium80 Ads are very much required to keep this site free. There is no way we can afford to run the site or pay the people that help run it otherwise.

@Ferret: I realize ads are required and important, and I have stated so above. I was not suggesting to get rid of the banners, just the problematic ones that cause serious lag on Decision 2, and other games.

To answer your other question, yes yes, whole heartedly yes, the various World of Tanks ads cause very severe lags. Most others just play their animation once (if they have one at all) and then cause no issues.

Thank you for looking into this issue and hopefully you can resolve the problem.

Yes, and we want to remove those ad issues. Are you still seeing the World of Tank ads? I can't seem to pull them up.

Yes, I just loaded the game and the first banner ad is World of Tanks

Alright, I've pulled them up. I see no issue however. No CPU spikes or memory spikes. Could you take a screenshot of what you're seeing so I can confirm which ad it is?

Also, have you tried an alternate browser to see if the same thing occurs?

We're looking into the issue on our end, but more information is always welcome.

@Ferret: I am using Firefox, and I've never had a problem with any games with it. I have not tried other browsers, but the fact that the problem only surfaces with the WoT ad (ie. no problems if I re-load the page and another banner comes up) makes me think that it isn't a browser issue.

How do you take a screenshot?

Simply press "Ctrl" (hold down) and "Print Screen" and a screenshot will be added to your computer's clipboard. Then open an art program (i.e. Paint) and paste the screenshot with "Ctrl V", save this, then upload it to an online image storing website. Grab the url code for the image once you're done uploading and post it here via the blue "Image" button above the text box. Et voila! =)
