well i lost my best friend to his dad's new job, i have no other friends in the neiberhood and my yard is under complete renivation... i havenothing to do so i just go on the computer...
Define "helpful". If you mean helpful to society? Our society is beyond help. I believe that my time is better spent on myself and those close to me. If you mean helpful to myself? I'm taking 16 credit hours this semester, not to mention working and social activities. When I'm home, I want to chill.
In between work and family time and time with my gf i like to chill on ag. People have a right to do what they want twiitht heir free time. Be that spending 10 hrs a day on a computer or going outside. You just need the healthy balance. Also i agree with megamickel. Define what u mean by helpful.

On topic tho i think a balance is needed between screen watchin g and other stuff. All things in moderation. Altho i mean as its the holidays rite now loadsa users hav bin on all day evryday. That aint good in my opinion but hey w/e its their choice.
The computer is both a Tool to Greatness and a Tool of Destruction. You can learn much from the Computer or you may lower your IQ with the computer. It all depends on the user. If we are talking about an Obese man with BBQ chips, monster and non-stop action on World of Warcraft, that is pretty much a no brainer. If we have a secretary organizing our Boss's files and reports, it helps the world in some way.
