vista isn't good and it's dumb how they are trying to upgrade it to make people want it dumb move for them and another thing macs are the best computers

it depend cause on linux we have a program called wine that will run windows games based on a scale of platinum to garbage on how well they run. and some game like etqw have a native client installer that will install them easily. If u want see how well games run go to http://appdb.winehq.org/appbrowse.php?iCatId=2 it will show u if it will run or not

I use Vista. I heard Linux is illegal and I don't know why. Well my current OS is Windows XP because my sister decided to break my 08 Dell Inspiron with Vista... Long story how she cracked the screen. And Linux is better so I've heard.

linux is for programing well thts its main stength and its not illigal

Just stick with xp cause vista has tonnes of bugs and won't let you do anything, macs have hadly any games and linux is just to much hard work to get the games to work

I like vista because of the platform they use. i love having the sidebar. and if you are a business man with e-mail,word,internet, and autocad you would want vista so that's my say

The difference in operating systems.

Macintosh - OSX - They are compatible with very few third party programs. Everything for a Mac, is made by Apple Inc. for the most part. They are good in many aspects, just not third party aspects (Which includes many games)

Windows - Vista - Poor for the one thing good about Windows, gaming. It's "new" virus protections and etc. totally destroy the gaming part of Windows. It blocks EVERYTHING. Eliminating any third party stuff you need to game.

Windows - XP - Good ol' XP. Compatible with many third party software (Including dumb Viruses D= ) and good for gaming. Mostly comes in "Towers" so the user and manually change their things without a professional too.

Linux - Linux - Linux is a free OS. They come in many forms such as GNOME and ratpoison. It is made by people and edited by people and distributed as freeware. This editing part though can cause many unprofessionally designed OS's to fail and crash.

Macintosh - High end only OS with 100% garenty compatibility with Apple Inc. items.

Vista - Window's new "virus free" OS. Bad for gaming.

XP - Window's older OS, good for gaming.

Linux - If developed properly, 100% customability for the user themselves.

The only reason everyone used to have Windows is that all the software writers wrote only for Windows.

Now, all the software writers see the boom in Apple sales, tnd they write for Apple now.

If enough software writers wrote for Linux, it would take over the whold personal computer industry.
