Six strangers have been gathered together and brought before you. You are then given the choice to let them live or let them die. Stranger 1 seems like a good person and you will receive no punishment and no reward for letting them live. However,Stranger 2 appears to be a dreadful person, but once again you will receive no punishment for letting them live and no reward for letting them die. Stranger 3 comes across as another decent person, but this time saving them could put your friends and family at risk. Stranger 4 has the same potential risk to your friends and family if you save them, but unlike stranger 3, this person doesn't seem very good. Stranger 5 appears to be another decent person, but if you let them die you could get a reward. Stranger 6 also comes with benefits if you let them die and seems to be a fairly bad person. You don't have to kill the strangers but their lives depend upon your choices. Also, you are an expert judge of character. So what do you do?
What was that movie where the couple got a box with a million dollars in it, but if they opened it a random person would die?* Is this supposed to be related?
I'm a good person, I can't be the reason for their death. I would feel horrible and I would never sleep till I die. Hey! You two! Where are you going? Gimme my reward or I'll change my mind
Lives Lives dies dies lives lives if I get no benefit from killing the first two why kill, the next two put my family and friends at risk so they're gone sorry, but the last two don't die cause rewards aren't worth lives. It wasn't even mentioned what the rewards were so like it could be poo I could get poo for killing someone and like that's worse than not getting anything, plus even if it was something nice still not worth it.
1. Dies I don't get a reward for keeping him alive. Might as well kill him.
2. Lives Dreadful people are always the most entertaining. Look at Tim Burton, or Charles Manson.
3. Lives Hiring someone to terrorize my friends and family on a regular basis is just not in my budget range. Might as well have someone on hand who will do it for free.
4. Lives Stranger 3 will have other things going on, and he'll need someone to fill in for him while he's gone.
5. Dies I don't know what the reward is, but there's only one way to find out.
6. Lives Strangers 3 and 4 seem to be hitting it off pretty well, but Stranger 2 still needs a golfing buddy, and I don't play golf.
I think we're leaving a few questions unanswered. "Let them die" doesn't specify anything. What I'd like to know is how these people will die if you are to select that option. Do we kill them ourselves, or do they just fade away into oblivion? If we do kill them ourselves, how is it done? Do they die a slow and painful death, or are we quick to put them out of their misery? These are the kind of questions I would like to know the answers to.
Hey! You two! Where are you going? Gimme my reward or I'll change my mind
*Kills your entire family* You let 3 and 4 live. You will now be alone for the rest of your life.
I would just wipe them all out. I mean, if they did something bad enough to warrant even the thought of punishment stretching far enough to killing them, I don't them around me. (Sorry #1, you were nice but not nice enough.)
*Gives thumbs down, motions for sentry to escort them out*
Independent of how good a character judge I am, I cannot con**** someone simply based on an impression. I need more info.
A question which may influence my choice: How exactly do we know about the risks to our families; I mean is it an impression too or what? And what sort of risk are we speaking of?
