Oh, I never thought it was possible, but it's good to know
I'm a bit lost, to be honest. Could you tell me how you do that? My brain isn't able to figure it out. - Do you log into your AG account, load the game and then somehow type in your SSL2 username & password? I can't see this option in the game, though. - Or do you load the game without being logged into your AG account? I've tried this and I just see this message: "Please, log in or register with AG to play", but there's no button that allows me to type in an username/password.
The first one. I should note here, my SSL2 account was established through the main SSL2 website (ShellShockLive2.com), as opposed to AG. However, when I logged into AG and loaded the game, it gave me the same login screen as on SSL2's website. Another point possibly worth note is that when I played SSL1, I did so via AG. Login was done with my AG account, unlike what I encountered with SSL2.
Call it a guess, but even if you have managed to use your SSL2 on AG, I think there's a good chance quests don't work because you are using an account that may not be related to/linked with your AG profile.
You may be right. Still, the fact that I was able to login to SSL2 from here should have some effect regarding the quests.
Out of curiosity, you can find your User ID (main menu, top left). In my case, there is the word Armor in three of the four fields, but what do you see there?
When I level up and become a higher level, do I still gain the same amount of experience for battling low level opponents or do the experience gains drop off? Do I need to seek out higher level opponents for better experience gains?
There are some differences here on the first and the third field. What I see is: CUID: armor[my callsign] NF: armorgames
Assuming these differences are the reason why you're not getting the quests is just a shot in the dark. This goes way beyond my field of expertise, so I'll have to knock on somebody else's door and see if they can help you
@ivanxxxxxxx: that's really useful, thank you. These tips are going to help me as well
Amount of EXP awarded is equal to damage dealt by weapons in ratio 1:10, not including negative damage. So it does not really matter who is your opponent.
EXP Multiplier You can get EXP Multiplier up to 2,but beware in some matches it can also be 0.6 ---------------------------------- EXP Multiplier 0.6 1000 damage = 60 exp
EXP Multiplier depends on: -Wind (Higher wind higher xp) -Point battle or Deathmatch (point battle has a better multiplier) -Teams or free for all (Teams has a better multiplier) -Shooting style: individually or team or free for all (individually has a better multiplier)
Weapon damage calculation:
This formula is used for damage calculation of a weapon: (base damage of weapon * tier of weapon ) * (100%-Armor Modifier)
Weapon Digger tiers are 15/16/18/20/21 lvl1/lvl2/lvl3/lvl4/lvl5
Diger level 5 = 21 * (opponent with minimal armor, its 100%) Damage = 105
EXP Multiplier You can get EXP Multiplier up to 2,but beware in some matches it can also be 0.6 ---------------------------------- EXP Multiplier 0.6 1000 damage = 60 exp
You have the correct minimum and maximum XP multipliers, but you will always see a 1:10 ratio during the game. The multipliers only affects the postgame XP display for the "In-Game XP" category.
2) There is also a bonus multiplier that can go from *.6 to *3.5. The following bonuses may be applied:
Round Bonus: This bonus is awarded for completing the game. It is normally worth 5 XP, but this value is affected by the bonus multiplier.
Win Bonus: This bonus is awarded for winning the game. It is normally worth 10 XP, but this value is affected by the bonus multiplier.
Wind: This bonus is awarded for completing a game that has wind. Low wind is worth 2 XP, medium wind 4, and high wind 6. The bonus multiplier applies to the base value.
MVP: This bonus is awarded for dealing the most damage. It does not apply to 2-player games for free-for-all point battles. The base value is 5 XP, but this value is affected by the bonus multiplier.
Deluxe Bonus: Deluxe players gain double XP. This effect is seen in the "Deluxe Bonus" category. If you're not deluxe, you will see 0 XP in this category.
The same things that affect XP multiplier affect the bonus multiplier, except that the turns/HP setting will also affect the bonus multiplier. Longer games give bigger bonuses.
3)
This formula is used for damage calculation of a weapon: (base damage of weapon * tier of weapon ) * (100%-Armor Modifier)
Weapon Digger tiers are 15/16/18/20/21 lvl1/lvl2/lvl3/lvl4/lvl5
Diger level 5 = 21 * (opponent with minimal armor, its 100%) Damage = 105
Armor only reduces damage taken in point battles. Also, each level is supposed to add 10% of the lvl1 damage to the weapon damage.
Im not sure why but when I complete them, it doesnt always register right away. For example the one about level 3 I just got last week when I was way past that level.
Nice infromation Ivan and Patrick, thanks! But I have a question lol
EXP Multiplier depends on: -Wind (Higher wind higher xp) -Point battle or Deathmatch (point battle has a better multiplier) -Teams or free for all (Teams has a better multiplier) -Shooting style: individually or team or free for all (individually has a better multiplier)
Wind, Point/deathmatch, and team/free for all don't affect either of the multiplier numbers I see in the game room, for 2 player games.
Does that mean that it doesn't affect those numbers at all for 2 player games, or that the multiplier numbers in the game room just don't reflect the correct numbers (are these "hiddem" multiplier effects)?
It influences, but it is significantly reduced. Best case is match with 6 players. team match 3 vs 3,or free for all (6 players) with individual shoting style.
I hope this will help: I suggest you to play 3 vs 3 team deathmatch, with team shoting style. These parties have the best ratio between time spent and earned experience.
for me the best ratio was with 1v1 30 turn point games, mainly since people enter such games with the intent to get as much points as possible and without care for not getting hit - practically landing under your nozzle Also - getting tank coins from floating boxes and spending them on a 1-month deluxe is an effective way to get that Ultimate Armory quest done without spending money or having to level all the way to 30 (15 is well enough)
