I've been to a few forums, and a some of them didn't allow for the discussion of emulators, as it went against their (unwritten) piracy policy. I know that this site's forum rules frown upon piracy, but I would like to know the status of the discussion of emulators?
It's a gray area, and it always is. I can't give you a YES or NO on the topic, it's very much different depending on what you're emulating. Since it's complicated, it's safer to not post about it unless your very much sure what you're emulating is legal.
Im relatively newish to forums, the last one I frequented was very strict about it. Couldnt even talk about an Atari emulator that you can buy at walmart without getting banned.
I'm guessing a bona fide emulator it should be possible to discuss, perhaps minus what it is you're trying to emulate? I mean e.g. DosBox I've never known to be anything other than a nifty and welcome tool.
But maybe I'm missing something? I'm not at all into consoles etc. Follow Ferret's word on it, by all means.
