I don't know the name of the game, but you are in a spaceship and crash into a foreign planet.you are attacked by aliens and must upgrade your gun, food ect. There is a turret that protects you on top of the ship, and you can climb into the ship to protect yourself against the aliens. The camera angle is above the person facing down. anybody know this game?

The game rings a bell (or several), but I'm not looking all over for it for you now. I'd check out the Action Games section, then perhaps Shooting, or whatever else may seem remotely applicable.
