Whenever I type armourgames.com into my url box on my browser, I'm redirected to some spammy website. why is that?
They have taken control of that URL address in order to try and catch those people surfing the web for ArmorGames and making a mistake with the website's name. ArmorGames.com is the real deal though! =)
To add, it's the first time I hear of it referred to as such, but check also this Wikipedia entry on domain squatting.As you can see, it has nothing to do with the site you did mean to visit
