Reload the page. If you right click the blackness and mess around with the settings you can fix it that way too.

It's happened to me and I've fixed it both ways before.

You don't need to get rid of Net Protection software (as I assume you or a parent put it on the computer in the first place), but check what url or website is being blocked exactly and allow it on the exception list. That's how I found out that youtube being blocked was my problem.
