I wrote a moderately in-depth guide a couple years ago that is on page 4. It really isn't that hard (as in requiring skill) to complete, its just very time-consuming and you have to basically turn all graphics to the lowest point to avoid lag.

I'd like to ask if there are any other tips&tricks to reduce lag. I've read through forum posts and taken into count to reduce quality to minimum, turn off zombie tints and get rid of advertises. Still I struggle. Well I completed the game, but last quest - Mutant Stomp is impossible with my computer at the moment (in my opinion I have a good PC). For the first 5km it runs fine, after that kicks in some lag and it gets worse by every minute. At 10km it gets so bad and it is only matter of moments till I get killed by a mutant because screen freezes. Hopefully there's some help that I can get from you guys! Thanks in advance!

No more help needed. I got lucky and kept 1 mutant alive for final 8 kilometers and had most of the final half was along the highway So glad I don't have to feel that lag ever again with that game.
