You might have to change the upgrades in the tree... upgrade your Artillery and Mage Towers to the maximum level possible for this level with Iron difficulty and you have a better chance in completing it. Also, repositioning your towers in another sequence could do the trick as well. Think outside the box! =)
I agree, it seems that in the youtube videos that I've seen they start out with 1900 gold instead of 1k, so they must have changed it for the Flash version.
for some reason it has been 1000 for me but now it's 1900. not sure if they fixed smth or i have achieved smth. anyway i passed this with 1000. hint: using dwaarp and cronan works fine - both of them eliminates of a lot of small enemy units
