Yes! It's time to dress for the cold and have those wonderful snowball fights, make your own snowman, decorate the Christmas tree, wonder what Santa's going to bring you, BUT... FIRST, we need you to make some excellent art for the Armatar Contest! The rules never changed! Here they are once more...

# ARMATAR CONTEST GUIDELINES :

1) All entries must be appropriate. They cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Keep it clean!
2) The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension.
3) Your entry must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to the actual armatar size. Here are a few suggestions about this :
~ Sometimes keeping it simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So keep in mind what the final size will be and check often how it looks when it is scaled down.
~ Remember to save a lot while you are making it! Better to delete 20 -in between made- save files later on, than ending up with something you actually don't like...
~ If you are able to do vector, by all means! That can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this is probably not a big issue.
4) Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other pieces of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% created by you.
Plagiarism will not only exclude your submission by means of disqualification, it will also exclude you from participation in any future contests AND will have further consequences!
5) Must be fitting to the current contest's theme. If a certain entry is debatable to whatever extend, a mod or admin will give the decisive and final ruling for submission.

The contest will remain open untill mid/end January, so there's more than enough time for you to enter your artwork! Closing date will be announced whenever it's time...

Allright! Grab your pencils and paper, and/or your mouse and start making your wonderful original works of art! Be creative! Amaze us! =)

Right, that's that... now, where's my hot coco? Ah! *blows* ...hmmmm... Yumm! ^^

Haha thanks Black, yeah sometimes pictures will turn out fuzzy if you enlarge them from a tiny size.

I guess take whatever is less fuzzy and will still work.

Thanks and happy ice day!

Blackbelt, it's better if you do it at a larger size first. That way, when you shrink it, it'll still look like your original. Also, it's preferable if you do it in a square like 100x100, 500x500, etc just to make life a little easier for the admins.

You can use shapes to make up part of the armatar if its not copied from anyone else's work.

Let's just say that all users who submit their own made creations on this website take pride in their work, as they should. If someone were to use other people's work to create or, more bluntly, claim as their own they are plagiarising and can be labeled as a fraud. Such actions can and will have consequences for the user in question... just to be clear on the subject. =)

With the lack of posts, does this mean this is over and we should post on MRDAYCEE's time line for merits?

It said mid-beginning January, and there are no posts here yet.... Finished?

"early to Mid January"

Just checking don't want to do something that would be not useful.
