Where on your profile were you trying to place those images? In your About section? =)

Did you use the correct code, because this is what could be the problem... try the code mentioned on the BBcode page for images.
Note: Make sure you use the EXACT code mentioned here. Typo's or missing letters/symbols will cause the code to fail!

Apparenty, the BBCode that MrDayCee linked isn't working on profiles. Don't ask me why, I have no clue.

So if you want to add images to your about section, you can try this (without the spaces, of course). It works for me
