I was out for a week and a half and when I came back, I noticed that my number of forum posts has increased in about 40-50 posts. What happened? Is it because of the unlock of "This Thread is Currently About..."?

Afaik you don't lose/gain posts when a thread that you've posted in is locked or unlocked. Other than that I'm not sure what it could be, but from looking at your post count I don't think you jumped :P
Yes, if you had been posting there, it was because they brought up TTICA. The most obvious examples came from Ernie, Matrix and Knight. Hundreds of posts came flooding back.

It actually wasn't unlocked...it was brought back into existence.
