Whoa now, school's ain't a place of worship.

It's practical why Does only big people with big money are successful?

They aren't the only people, but the means to becoming so are easier. They get more of an "edge", per se, because of a well starting off point.

why poor people are even not let in the school?

Not sure how it is where you are, but if you are hoping for a good and cheap education, your worse off being middle class.

As for school's in general, I detest how the American education system is run. It's all about the grades and not the students. It also hinders creativity, and as Emp stated just pushes people along the system.

Here in Britain it's all about where your school comes on the exam league table, to the point where it's normal for inspectors to write most of their report based only on exam statistics, before they even go into the school.

As mentioned the school is not a place of worship, nor where you get cast in a mould; it is, ideally, a place where not only you are being educated about diverse topics, but also where you meet many people your age and are confronted to situations you would not experience otherwise; you sometimes have to work with kids you don't like, you learn that way how to cope with certain situations.

Of course it is inevitable that by teaching kids you also teach them our culture, perpetuating it; but you cannot possibly reinvent our culture every generation, can you.

The poster is from India, hence I guess the figure of speech, also with regards to some of the other statements.

Not that it would make the argument any less confused and convoluted in my view, but...

19912, You could look around for free scholling systems to a greater or lesser degree (not free as in financially, but of the mind), while not that thick on the ground in India, I know there exist some. Where they don't exist, one could strive towards them

I don't know what this will do for you, but check for starters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_democratic_schools#India . See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_school , for possible inspiration if nothing else.

You actually admited it as by saying....

think again why only grades are took as more important not creativity?

if it is a place to meet people just go out and ask someone.....

I'm not sure how schools are run in India, but schooling is necessary in order to learn your basic and advanced necessary skills to accomplish your life goals. The method by which schools achieve this can be argued, but that's a different thread. Schools are a necessity. Back in ancient Greece, they had schools, and depending on what you were going into, they were a lot tougher than they are now. (ex. Spartan children would get their bare backs flogged once a year to prove how tough they were.)

Whether you are respected or not is not dependent of whether you went to school or not; maybe it has an influence, but there's no causal relationship.

if it is a place to meet people just go out and ask someone.....

It's not only a place to meet people, it's a place where you are confronted with other people; you have to work with others, work in groups; you can't just run away or only work with the people you like.

As for just going out and meeting people, you'd be surprised by the number of people living alone, especially in cities..

Actually, it depends on how broad your definition of "school" is. Catholic "schools" have a mould system and some have semi-detached or built-in chapels, so they can easily fit his description.

People can disagree with one statement and agree with another, so yes, pang admitted a point that was not directly related to the others or even in dispute.

Could you rephrase this? I'm not sure what it means.

Or you're always stuck doing all the work and they share the grade for free, making you hate socialist ideals.

I don't think you understood what I said. Schools hinder creativity and focus more on grades than students. What is the problem here?

Yes, but some not.

but there we are tortured at the point to lose our Self-Confidence by just being Grade as fool's?

There should be punishment as well as reward in the school these two things are very important. But too much is also not good.

Is School to make us a Good personality or grade us?

In my opinion, both.

If a school's said to be a place to worship,a temple so why does that temple cost's us?

School is not a place to worship it is the place where we learn new things.

It's practical why Does only big people with big money are successful?

Who said you this? Poor people are also successful. Hard work is a key to success.

why poor people are even not let in the school?

There are some schools which provides free education.

The agoge was much more a military camp than a school, since the Spartans placed little emphasis on actual literacy. Just thought I would clear that up.

Anyway, back to the topic. Ideally of course, everyone will and should get basic education. For OP, I consider it partially a flaw of the country's governing system if people fall through the cracks, rather than the concept education in itself. I would consider too, the social structure and state of living in developing countries; if a family needs their children to drop out early in order to get a job, then it's not the fault of the education system, or the school.

As for grades and pressure hindering creativity....a balance has to be struck, but ultimately, grades are going to be a basic bench mark of what society has deemed as important criteria to progress in life after school.
