You may remember the political quiz promoted by @Freakenstein a month or so ago. I've now found the UK version of the same quiz. Unsurprisingly, I got these results:
Basic introduction to parties: Labour - Left wing. Conservatives - Right wing. Liberal Democrats - Centre Left. UKIP - Right wing, want to leave EU. Scottish Nationals - Left wing, want scottish independence. Green - Left wing, environmentalists. Plaid Cymru - Left wing, Welsh nationalists. BNP - Right wing, want to kick out all the immigrants.
I have no idea how accurate this is. A lot of the questions I didn't know what the context was, like existing tax rates or programs. Other political stuff, like relative devolution of representative bodies from the government or how the system is structured, I'm also likewise ignorant about. Anyone want to interpret these results?
The parties nearer the top of your list are more centre left, (Lib Dems, Green) with the more left wing parties (Labour, SNP, Plaid Cymru) below them, and the right wingers (Conservatives, UKIP, BNP) below them.
Not shown is the fact that I think the Conservatives are considerably more competent than either Labour or the Lib Dems, the Greens are risky and UKIP and the BNP (with whom I shockingly share 17% and 19%, respectively, of my opinions) are stark raving lunatics.

Yeah, it's not exactly the golden age of British politics.
Well, not completely on topic, but the UKIP won the European Parliament election narrowly. Bollocks. Not surprised though, seeing one of the party platforms revolves around the EU issue, and a large chunk of the turnout voted cause they felt it mattered to them.

The problem is that the main parties need to stop agreeing with UKIP and point out the good things about being in the EU.
I tried it out just for fun, this is what came out. I must say I did not answer all questions, mostly left out some very British things like questions on transportations and inner politics.
I also have no concrete idea what the parties actually do, but by their name it doesn't seem so far off... at least UKIP is not on the list (only 4%) ^^
