Then maybe I broke a different rule, and being redacted locks in the current score, but it's hidden from the leaderboard.

I also checked the first thread. (The one with the rift.) And nothing seems to be changed on it.

I believe a Mod can completely delete a comment unlike us regular citizens.

Even if that did happen. Why would they make the comment and then delete it without anyone seeing it?
